The Department of English takes pride in sharing that with keen interest to enhance the literary fervor in the students, we teach them to look beyond the text and connect literature with life. Along with augmenting their Soft skill that ensures their employability, their interest in literature is given an impetus.

The Department has a reading club by name "Books and Beyond" which encourages the students to read the text and think beyond it. A plethora of activities ranging from recitation of passages from texts like Quality of Mercy, Gettysburg Address,Short poems of Wordsworth, Debate, Group discussions, Role play and Mock interviews etc., are conducted every month.This gives an opportunity for the students to learn the language through literature.

With our enthusiastic students, the Department aspires to scale great heights. In the near future, our Department will evolve into a PG and Research Department.
